What additional steps are required for a student to receive their federal loan?

Students will need to complete the federal direct loan information and acceptance worksheet on myPellissippi under financial aid forms and links: financial aid forms and student loan request form.

If it is the first time receiving a Direct Loan, students will be required to:

• complete entrance counseling, a tool to ensure students understand their obligation to repay the loan; and
• sign a loan contract called a Master Promissory Note, agreeing to the terms of the loan.
